Bianco: 2023 La Calcinara “Clochard”, Verdicchio Chardonnay, Marche 18/82
Lime zest, spring hawthorn and apple blossom, with a fine, chalky element and touch of cardamom too. The palate is zippy and bursting with life - lime juice, a gentle bitter and creamy almond note, and briney freshness too, finishing with long, yellow-pepper accented tang.
Rosso: 2021 Querciabella “Lacrima di Morro” Marche 16/71
On the nose, floral notes of violet and rose are immediately discernible, mixed with hints of ripe red fruits, spices, and a touch of aromatic herbs that add complexity.
On the palate, reveals itself to be a medium-bodied wine, with soft tannins and remarkable freshness, perfectly balancing the intensity of the fruit. Notes of blackberry, cherry, and a light touch of pepper persist in a pleasantly long finish.
